Prescott Valley Library Recieves Grant to Teach Creative Aging Art and Movement Classes

PRESCOTT VALLEY – the Prescott Valley Public Library was recently awarded grant funds to teach Creative Aging Art and Movement classes. This project is supported by the Arizona State Library, Archives & Public Records, a division of the Secretary of State, with federal funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services.

Art and movement classes support mental stimulation, creative expression, and social engagement by providing a safe, social creative space where our aging community members can engage in artistic activities. Class topics will promote and support creative aging in positive ways, with the intent that these activities and materials will help enhance the quality of life for older adults.
