Single-Vehicle Rollover Claims One Life, Injures Another

The accident occurred on SR 69.

On Friday, March 10, 2017 at approximately 3:12 P.M., the driver of a Chevrolet, sport utility vehicle lost control while driving westbound on State Route 69 between Enterprise Parkway and Mendecino Drive in Prescott Valley.

During the accident both occupants were ejected from the vehicle. A local, 46-year-old female  was transported from the scene, but did not survive.  A local, 46-year-old male was transported by Native Air Helicopter to John C. Lincoln Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona  with serious injuries. The initial investigation indicated that neither person was wearing a seat belt.

The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) responded to the scene to restrict the westbound lanes of travel on State Route 69 to a single lane, to allow for a safe investigation.  The roadway was opened fully at about 6:15 P.M.

The Prescott Valley Police Department encourages occupants of motor vehicles to wear seat belts. Wearing a seat belt is not only the law, but is the most effective way to protect yourself and your loved ones.

Accident Investigators are continuing to gather information and are currently investigating this case.
