An opportunity for a community cleanup.

Bradshaw Mountain High School bands perform a Spring Concert.

Before the school year comes to a close, Bradshaw Mountain High School bands will perform in a Spring Concert at 5:30 tomorrow night.  The Prescott Valley Arts and Culture Commission will be hosting the concert at the Theater on the Green, located on the Civic Center campus.  This free concert will feature the Bradshaw Mountain High School Concert Band, including strings, percussion and a drumline, as well as the Sunrise Jazz Band.  This show will feature such songs as “Birdland” and “Children of Sanchez,” as well as a number of songs from the Star Wars movies.  Attendees are asked to bring a lawn chair or blanket to this family event.  The Civic Center is located on Civic Circle off Glassford Hill Road.  The last day of school in the Humboldt Unified School District is May 25th.  

Community Cleanup in Paulden

You only have a few days left to get rid of unwanted items as part of a Community Cleanup.  The Yavapai County Board of Supervisors and the Public Works Department are hosting a Community Cleanup in the town of Paulden.  Accepted items include household appliances, bagged trash, auto batteries, unmounted tires, furniture and yard trimmings.  Items that won’t be accepted include loose trash, liquids, hazardous materials and cars.  This program is for residential use only and no commercial loads will be accepted.  The cleanup is at the Paulden Transfer Station on Marblehead Avenue.  Free dump days are 8 am to 4 pm tomorrow, Friday and Saturday.
