Northern Arizona Motor Vehicle Division offices are opening earlier.

AZ MVD Offices opening earlier for trial period.

Motor Vehicle Division offices in northern Arizona are open a little earlier in order to gauge customer demand.  The offices on Commerce Drive in Prescott and South 12th Street in Cottonwood had been opening at 8 in the morning, but ADOT is moving that start to 7:30 to see how effective it is.  The new time will be offered for at least thirty days and will be made permanent if the change shows improvement in customer service.  Since mid-2016, MVD has rolled out extended operating times at locations in metro Phoenix and Tucson.  The Flagstaff Motor Vehicle office on Milton Road has the earlier opening time as well.  The 5 pm closing time for all MVD offices remains unchanged.

PV Civic Center elevators getting a facelift.

The Prescott Valley Civic Center elevators are getting a facelift.  The Chandler based Tomar Elevator Components has been awarded the more than $26K contract for this project, which will include work on the 2 elevator cabs. Public Works Director Norm Davis says it’s been a while since this work has been done. Davis explains work should be completed by the end of February. Town of Prescott Valley staff had requested quotes last November, but Tomar was the only company to respond to that request.
