Dewey-Humboldt Little League to Hold November 10 Dinner and Silent Auction Fundraiser for New Sports Complex

DEWEY-HUMBOLDT—The members of the Dewey-Humboldt Little League (DHLL) board of directors are hosting a dinner and silent auction November 10 to raise money to build the Dewey-Humboldt Sports Complex, which will feature two regulation-size baseball fields at Highway 69 and milepost 278 in Dewey.

The event will take place at that location, and tickets are available for purchase at $50 per adult and $25 per child. To buy tickets, contact Board President Lindsay Statler at 928.499.5088 or send an email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

"Raising money for these fields is not just about present players," Statler said. "It's about honoring the league's past—it's the oldest league in Arizona—and laying a foundation for its future."

DHLL's immediate need is to raise $8,000 to relocate the electrical poles on the 5.2-acre site, which was donated to DHLL in 2002. The long-term goal is to raise an additional $130,000 to complete the excavation, improvements, and fencing necessary to meet Little League regulations.

To support the DHLL Field of Dreams, people can:

  • Buy tickets for the fundraising dinner and silent auction on November 10.

  • Donate items for the silent auction.

  • Offer in-kind donations.

  • Donate cash.

Statler said the members of the league's board of directors are grateful for the support this project has received from businesses and individuals in the community, including: APS, Fann Contracting, JT's Septic, APS, Ace Hardware in Prescott Valley, Payton’s Place Floor and More, Leff-T’s Steak House and Grill, Lucky’s BBQ, and Safeway.

People can send monetary donations to DHLL—which is a 501(c)3 organization—at P.O. Box 99, Dewey, AZ 86327, or they can donate online at www.tinyurl.com/dhllcontributions. To buy tickets or donate silent auction items for the November 10 fundraiser, or to offer in-kind donations, contact Lindsay Statler at 928.499.5088.
