ERAU shuts out Simpson Red Hawks

REDDING, Calif. – A trio of goals by Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (Ariz.) men's soccer was enough to beat the Red Hawks of Simpson University, Friday evening.

The Eagles (5-2-1, 1-0 Cal Pac) started the evening by scoring in the second minute of the match, as Jacob Baker (JR/Graham, Wash.) was able to continue his great play and beat the SU (2-6, 0-1 Cal Pac) keeper. Almost eight minutes later Sebastian Aguas (SR/Quito, Ecuador) got ERAU their second goal.

Chiedu Ikeme (SO/Inverness, Scotland) scored the final goal of the match just three minutes after Aguas. The Eagles dominated the run of play and finished with 13 shots and 7 corner kicks. Michal Serdynski (FR/Szczecin, Poland) is the first Eagle goalkeeper to tally a clean sheet this season.

ERAU will face a top 25 team and California Pacific Conference foe in UC Merced on Sunday at 3:30 pm MST in California.
