Update: The missing juvenile was just located in the Ash Fork area.

Yesterday afternoon, November 2, 2018, around 1 PM, YCSO deputies were dispatched to the 16000 block of South White Rock Lane, Cordes Lakes, regarding a runaway teen. Sarah Lynn Smith is a 15-year-old, Caucasian, about 5’ tall, 120 pounds, with green eyes and brown shoulder length hair. May be wearing gray leggings and a white sweatshirt. Sarah was last seen at 5 am on November 2, 2018, at the White Rock Lane home. She left a note indicating she would return later. Sarah was previously reported as a runaway in April of this year and returned home within 48 hours.

Sarah is considered endangered as she may be despondent and there are known mental health concerns. Deputies are checking with family and friends to determine if there could be an intended destination. Sarah has older friends with access to transportation. Sarah has a male friend in Maricopa, Arizona, and that location was checked yesterday evening without success. Additional leads are being pursued.

If anyone has knowledge as to Sarah’s whereabouts, please call the Sheriff’s Office immediately at 928-771-3260.  She is listed in a national law enforcement data base as missing/endangered.

Citizens can contact the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office with information or questions at 928-771-3260 or the YCSO website: www.ycsoaz.gov
