Yavapai County School Superintendent Tim Carter has announced a vacancy on the Humboldt Unified School District Governing Board, due to the resignation of veteran Board Member, Mr. Brian Letendre.
The effective date of the resignation is April 6, 2017 and is a result of his relocation out of state to accept new employment.
Mr. Carter stated that “Mrs. Letendre has long been a well-respected resident of Prescott Valley, serving with distinction on the Humboldt Governing Board, and as the Board President. He will be missed and we wish Mr. Letendre and his family the very best”.

To be eligible to hold this seat a person must; be a registered voter (yet this office is considered non-partisan), be a citizen of the United States of America, be at least 18 years of age, possess their civil rights, have continually resided within the school district for at least one year immediately preceding taking office, and the candidate or their spouse cannot be employed by the district.
Deadline for receipt of letters of interest is Friday, April 7, 2017, at 5:00 p.m. Mr. Carter will interview finalists at the Humboldt School District Office on Tuesday, April 11, 2017, and depending on the number of candidates, possibly on Wednesday, April 12, 2017.
The appointment should be announced by Friday, April 14, 2017 and be valid through December 31, 2018.
