Former Roughider Goalkeeper Returning To Yavapai

Ivan Dizdar has been named volunteer assistant coach for the upcoming 2016 Yavapai College soccer season.  He will be joining Yavapai’s only head soccer coach in the program’s history, Michael Pantalione (28th year), long-time associate coach Hugh Bell (25th year) and volunteer goalkeeper coach Emilio Estrada (6th year).

As a goalkeeper, Dizdar was a key member of Yavapai’s back to back NJCAA National Championship teams in 2007 and 2008.  His clean sheet in the 2008 NJCAA National Championship Game completed a perfect 26-0-0 season for the Roughriders.  He moved on to continue his intercollegiate  career in 2009 and 2010 at Seattle University, an NCAA Division One program.  He has coached a number of high school and club programs in Washington and Arizona.  Currently, he is the coaching director for the Yavapai (Youth) Soccer Club and a member of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
